Numeric security code found on the back of most Visa credit cards that provides an additional level of online fraud protection. The number is located on your credit card and is generally three to four digits long. By requiring this number on order checkouts merchants can reduce credit card fraud and chargeback instances significantly when used together with the Address Verification System protection.
